Scholarship Prorams

The San Fernando Valley Chapter (CA) of the Links, Inc. is committed to assisting citizens of the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys to realize their educational goals and dreams through the awarding of college scholarships and scholarships for those pursuing the development of their talent in the arts.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicant must:

1.     Be a graduating high school senior, or transferring community college student enrolling in a four-year College/University, or First-time community college student beginning Fall 2019.

2.     Have a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 unweighted scale.

3.     Reside in the San Fernando, Valley, or Santa Clarita Valley.  Foster youth residing in either of these communities, are encouraged to apply

4.     Submit verification of Fall 2019 full-time enrollment.

Support to Historically Black Colleges and University (HBCU) students

The San Fernando Valley Chapter (CA) of The Links, Inc. enthusiastically supports HBCUs and offers a $1000 scholarship to a student of African descent attending any HBCU.

Support to Students Gifted in the Arts

Youth gifted in any form of the Arts, or show promise and a sincere interest in the arts, and enrolled in any grade 1 through 12, are eligible to apply for our Classics Through the Ages scholarship.  This scholarship is awarded on a one year basis.  The student may reapply up to two times.  The amount of the scholarship shall not exceed $2000 in a single year.

Academic Scholarships

Scholarships of $2000, per year for four years, are awarded to students whose record reflects high academic scholarship, community engagement, and/or financial need, and show confirmation of enrollment in an accredited college or university.  Scholarships of $500  per year, for up to two years, are awarded to worthy students showing confirmation of semester enrollment in an accredited community college.
